So we planned this trip on a whim. My wife, who I was then dating, was asked a simple question by me. Where would you like to go on a trip?. Thus the legend was born and we started our journey.
What we wanted out of Jamaica we decided was not the all inclusive approach. We instead took a chance off the beaten track and found a private enclave of Villas near the town of Duncan's and we hit the jackpot.

We had a beach side villa perfect for a couple in a well protected place near a town that we could actually walk to and be safe in. We had a maid/cook named Claudette that served us breakfast, lunch and dinner each day.
So near this area of Silver Sands Villas in Duncans was the Fihserman's beach where we were able to buy fresh fish and lobster.
The beach was excellent though in time we would learn that the surf cudda betta.
We included in this trip all the typicals. The Martha Brae and the phosphoresant swim along with the James Bond Rock Climb and beach at Dunn's River.
Beyond that it was a self explore of the area in great safety with one long waste of time road trip to Negril. We learned then what we really love. Peace and quiet and comfort and not necessarily fast action....but it was fun....even thought at the time we were not college kids!
We knew at once with Billy our driver and Claudette and the overall pampered experience we would be back.
