Flavours Restaurant was of course one of our favorites. But now it is again only this time as LaVue Apartments. Overlooking Road Bay (above Sandy Ground on Back Street), this very affordable set of studios and 1 br apartments are brand new and really nice. For on season stays for expe
rienced "wannabe Belongers" this is a great place to stay at $165 per night. For off season like now it is an incredible value at $99 for a studio and a bit more for the 1 br below. There is also a 2 br unit available. And we love the view. The service is already obviously great and the linens and things are perfect. Solid furnishings and a nice balcony top it off. Again if you are on your honeymoon and never coming back again this is not for you, but if you are like us and stay for 10 - 21 days at a time and come back a bunch and know your way around and all the Gumbs!! (for those of you that don't get the joke there are a few prominent families on the island, this is but one) then this is perfect!Room with LaVue

Today was a good day to meet with Corrin F. of NBA to open our offshore bank account. Nothing we have not planned to do, but there are a lot of people who come here and think they are serious, but serious means starting a process of creating relationships including putting money on the island.

One last thing. Always eat here. Now if you have so much money that you eat in your private dining room with your own cooks, well you might want to stay out of The Quarter; but if you are people too then Mary's is pretty much the best sandwich on the island.....well the best Tuna Sandwich....well the best Tuna Salad Sandwich.
