Anguilla - Time to Buy Page 2

So you might wonder what is the difference between October 30th and October 31? Well I am not sure these clips will do it justice, but most really good hotels are closed for the season on August 1st until November 1st. This year (2009) is a bit of an exception in some cases. Some hotels were trying to offer incentive for travel this year in September. Tourism remains down over 25-33% and from my experiences here that feels about right.

Well commentary aside, here is the Ku on October 30th.

Another thing you have to know that we enjoy is being in a place where we can be part of the place and not have to be apart from it. The Dominican Republic and Jamaica are famous for being great vacation spots, but I will give you $100 bucks for each minute you survive in Falmouth or Kingston or Puerta Plata if you get off the beaten track.

We opted then for other islands like Grand Cayman, Turks and Caicos, Bonaire and Curacau (more on each in this blog soon). They have things we like, but they are not exactly what we are looking for. We want to be safe and secure and in the mix with the people of the island. Here is the MIX every Friday and Saturday you eat here or you are not Anguillian. Too, just behind the Hut is The English Rose and you have not made it till you eat here and party till Midnight with real people singing Karaoke! (no video on that for a variety of reasons!!!)
